The conference is being held under the auspices of the IUPAC. Thus, plenary, invited talks and awardees at the conference will be published in the official IUPAC journal Pure & Applied Chemistry.
Other participants are invited to submit their presentations (both oral and poster) for publication in a special issue of the Journal of Solution Chemistry.
All submissions will go through the usual peer review process of the journals.
Prior to submit your abstract a pre-registration is requested.
Oral Abstracts:
Submit your oral abstract by 20 February 2018 (extended deadline). Several slots are available and each oral presentation is scheduled for 20 min including questions.
Oral Abstracts and Research Papers associated to the Discussions Forums scheduled on the 20 July 2018:
For the first time in history of ISSP two special discussion sessions will be organized. Inspired by the format of the Faraday Discussions, a call for abstracts will be launched on September 1st, 2017. The abstracts addressing various topics in solution chemistry in general and ionic liquids in particular will be assessed by the members of the conference scientific committee who will select the most innovative and science forward ones for submission as full papers in the Journal of Solution Chemistry prior to this meeting.
A full research paper containing new unpublished results always accompanies oral presentations at ISSP Discussion Forums. Submit an oral/paper abstract if you wish to be considered for an oral presentation and associated published paper. The oral/paper abstract should outline current research in progress. Authors of the selected abstracts must then submit a full research paper with a significant amount of new, unpublished work by 30 January 2018 in the Journal of Solution Chemistry.
The research papers are reviewed upon submission and are available to all attendees before the ISSP meeting so they can be read in advance. At the meeting the presenting author is allowed ten minutes to highlight the main points of their paper, and the rest of the time is for discussion. The discussion is recorded and will be published alongside the research paper in the Journal of Solution Chemistry.
Flash Oral Abstracts for Young Scientists:
Submit your flash oral abstract by 23 February 2018. Several slots are available and each flash oral presentation is scheduled for 10 min including questions. A Presentation Award will be awarded to the best flash presentation presented by a young scientist (see eligibility) at the conference.
Poster Abstracts:
Submit your poster abstract by 23 February 2018 (extended deadline). Posters are displayed throughout the meeting and a poster session is held on the second evening. Five Poster Prizes will be awarded to the best posters presented by young scientists (see eligibility) at the conference.
Additional Information:
Authors will be notified of the outcome of the review process by the end of February 2018. The abstracts should be no longer than one A4 page in portrait layout using this template. Please ensure you provide the details of the presenting author and indicate whether you are submitting an abstract for oral or flash oral or poster presentation.
Once accepted, your contribution will be published in the abstract book only if the registration fee has been paid.
